Dublin will mark World Humanitarian Day with a community programme examining practical methods of helping people through difficult situations.
The programme will be held at the Church of Scientology & Community Centre of Dublin and will present methods for improving communication, resolving difficulties and organising help.
The event reflects the view that humanitarian action is not limited to major emergencies. Practical help provided at community level can make a meaningful difference to people facing personal or social difficulties.
The methods presented are connected with the Scientology Volunteer Ministers programme, established by Mr. L. Ron Hubbard as a religious community-service initiative.
